Typically, cryptocurrency withdrawals are processed immediately. But it can take longer for several possible reasons:
1. Blockchain confirmation
Withdrawals usually require a certain number of confirmations on the blockchain. This can take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours, depending on the particular cryptocurrency and network congestion.
2. Network congestion
High traffic on the blockchain can slow down transaction speeds, leading to longer waiting times for withdrawals.
3. Time of day
Thanks to increased demand on the exchange and blockchain network, withdrawal processing times may be longer during peak hours.
4. Manual review
If your withdrawal triggers risk-control measures or something else requiring manual review, it will take longer for us to process. If this happens, you can contact us for more information.
5. Issues with a recipient exchange
If you’re withdrawing to another exchange, but that exchange has not yet credited your account, we recommend that you first check the status of the transaction on the blockchain. You can do this by going to a blockchain explorer (like Blockchair or Blockchain.com) and entering the transaction ID (TXID) we sent you when we confirmed the withdrawal. If this confirms that the crypto has been sent from your Pepperstone Crypto account, you should contact the recipient exchange, quoting the same TXID.
