What is OTC Trading?
Over-the-Counter (OTC) Trading allows eligible customers to buy or sell cryptocurrencies directly with Pepperstone Crypto at an agreed price, without placing orders on the exchange order book.
OTC Trading is designed for customers who wish to execute larger trades with dedicated support and reduced market impact.
Who can use OTC Trading?
OTC Trading is available to eligible Pepperstone Crypto customers.
To access the service:
- Your Pepperstone Crypto account must be fully verified.
- If you're trading on behalf of a business, your business account must also be fully verified.
- Your account must meet any additional eligibility or trading requirements determined by Pepperstone Crypto.

How do I request access to OTC Trading?
To access OTC Trading, please contact your Pepperstone Crypto Sales Trader or get in touch with us at +61 493 898 269 or support@pcrypto.com to express your interest.
Our team will review your request and, if approved, provide access to the OTC service.
How are OTC trades arranged?
Once your access has been approved, Pepperstone Crypto will create a dedicated WhatsApp chat to coordinate your OTC trades.
For security reasons:
- Only verified users registered on your Pepperstone Crypto account can be added to the chat.
- For business accounts, only authorised and verified users associated with the business account can be added.
- Trade instructions and confirmations will only be accepted from verified users registered on the account.
Can I deposit or withdraw funds through WhatsApp?
No.
All deposits and withdrawals must be completed through the Pepperstone Crypto web platform or mobile app.
How will my OTC trade appear in my account?
Your OTC trade will appear as two separate transactions in your transaction history:
- A deposit
- A withdrawal
Both transactions will display OTC Trade as the transfer type.
This reflects the settlement of your OTC transaction within your Pepperstone Crypto account.
Can I place OTC trades through the Pepperstone Crypto app?
No.
OTC trades are arranged directly with your Pepperstone Crypto Sales Trader through your dedicated communication channel.
You can continue to use the Pepperstone Crypto web platform or mobile app to trade and view your balances, transaction history, and complete deposits or withdrawals.
Is there a minimum trade size?
The minimum trade size is $50,000 AUD.
Why can't someone else confirm a trade on my behalf?
To help protect your account, Pepperstone Crypto only accepts trade instructions and confirmations from verified users registered on your account.
For business accounts, only authorised users associated with the verified business account may provide trade instructions or confirmations.
Why was my OTC request declined?
Your request may be declined if:
- Your account verification is incomplete.
- The person providing instructions is not an authorised user on the account.
- Your request does not meet the eligibility requirements for OTC Trading.
- Additional verification or compliance checks are required.
If your request cannot be approved, our team will let you know if any further action is required.

- OTC Trading is available to eligible Pepperstone Crypto customers only.
- All OTC trades are subject to Pepperstone Crypto's verification and compliance requirements.
- Quotes are only valid for the period communicated by your Sales Trader.
- Pepperstone Crypto reserves the right to decline or refuse any OTC transaction in accordance with applicable laws and our internal policies.
